We are pleased to announce that tickets for the automotive race "C1 2022 MOTEGI", scheduled to be hosted by C1 Corporation (Headquarters: Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, Representative Director: Hayashi Yuki, https://www.c1race.com/) with the support of FM Tokyo, will be available for purchase starting from April 1 on the Zaiko special page.

"C1 2022 MOTEGI" is a JAF certified * domestic format automotive race scheduled for December 11, 2022, at Mobility Resort Motegi. As long as the conditions of "meeting safety standards (passing vehicle inspection)" and "manufacturing cost limits for each class" are satisfied, competitors can freely customize their vehicles, regardless of whether they are engine cars or electric vehicles, making it a first-of-its-kind event in Japan. The prize money for the winner of the top C1 class is ¥10,000,000. Currently, in global automotive racing led by Europe and America, there is a strong tendency for results to be determined by drivers' abilities due to the increasing standardization and balance of machine performance. In contrast, C1 is characterized as a venue for automotive technology competition. Because it is contested using road-legal vehicles, it can also be described as a contest to determine the "fastest on public roads" between machines (builders) and drivers.
Moreover, the currently held JAF certified races are either races using vehicles that cannot be driven on public roads or races using single models of road-legal vehicles (one-make races). In contrast, C1 is contested using vehicles based on a variety of models, allowing general consumers to purchase and drive the race vehicles on public roads, making it a more accessible race for many people. We hope that, through C1, those who are not existing racing fans will become interested in racing, which will lead to revitalization in the automotive racing industry, automotive aftermarket manufacturing, and ultimately, the entire automotive industry.
Additionally, we will hold a time attack event using the highly realistic driving simulator produced by iRock Inc. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, Representative Director: Koga Taku), "DRiVe-X" (https://drivex-sim.com/), and set a scholarship for participation in "C1 2022 MOTEGI" for the top drivers in terms of time. The upcoming time attack events are scheduled to be held in the Chubu region (April 16-17 @ Aichi International Convention Center, April 24 @ Fuji Speedway, April 29 - May 1 @ Matsuzakaya Nagoya) and we are also coordinating to hold events in Tokyo.
