A new service called "+Archive" has been launched to accelerate the secondary monetization of live streaming videos in line with the changing viewing styles and needs of fans.
News

On this occasion, ZAIKO will launch a new service called “+Archive” by allowing users to choose from three time periods for the archive viewing of electronic tickets with live streaming, instead of the usual three days, thereby promoting the secondary monetization of live streaming videos.

“+Archive” is a new ticket sales method that provides ENCORE members with a flexible way to enjoy live broadcasts. By using “+Archive,” artists and event organizers can sell tickets with extended archives in three different time periods, allowing fans to choose according to their viewing style. The three types of tickets can be set as “no archive period,” “14 days of archive,” and “30 days of archive,” enabling the possibility of increasing secondary revenue from tickets for each archive period. With the prolonged pandemic, digital events have rapidly spread, making it common for people to enjoy events online, and the viewing styles for streamed events have become increasingly segmented. In particular, for digital events, there has been a rise in behaviors where fans actively utilize extended archives to watch digital events whenever they want and as much as they want, not just on the day of the event. We have developed the ticket sales method “+Archive” to create more opportunities for artists and event organizers to increase revenue while answering the needs of such fans.

ZAIKO will continue to develop services centered around digital platforms, prioritizing artists and organizers, and will continue to lead the new normal in the live entertainment industry.
■Overview of +Archive
By becoming a ZAIKO ENCORE member, it becomes a new ticket sales method that allows you to enjoy distribution content more flexibly even after the live performance. By using “+Archive,” artists and event organizers can sell tickets with extended archives in three different time periods to allow fans to align with their viewing styles. In a test conducted for some events in February, 52% of ticket buyers for “+Archive” applicable events paid additional fees to purchase tickets with extended archives. Furthermore, ticket sales for “+Archive” applicable events increased by an average of 13% compared to when “+Archive” was not applied.

<For Artists>
Until now, the methods for artists and labels to generate secondary revenue from live content have been limited to options like producing DVDs of live footage or uploading to video streaming platforms. However, by providing content to “ZAIKO Encore Theater,” it is possible to establish a new revenue model through the secondary use of live footage. In addition to the contract fees for the uploaded footage, we also have various incentives for organizers making use of ZAIKO.
