Biography of Kazuhira Shimada

Chief Operating Officer (COO) Kazuhira Shimada

After graduating from the London School of Economics in the UK in 1996, he joined Mitsubishi Corporation. In 2010, he became the Executive Officer and Head of Business Affairs at Universal Music. He has held positions as Managing Director responsible for Digital Business and Commercial Affairs. In 2020, he was appointed as Director (GM) of Amazon Music Japan. In 2022, he became COO of Warner Music Japan. In September 2024, he was appointed COO of ZAIKO Corporation.
