We are pleased to announce that ZAIKO, in collaboration with A.C.TJapan Co., Ltd., will launch the project "In:Depth" (https://indepth.tv/) focused on the concepts of "location" and "artists" to promote and enhance Japan's underground scene through digital content, reaching not only locally but also globally. The distribution tickets for Season 1 "Chapter1 Kanto" will go on sale starting February 22 (Monday) on ZAIKO (https://indepth.zaiko.io/).

"In:Depth" is a project that provides video content centered on short interviews focusing on the "places" and "people" involved in the local music scene to invigorate artists and live houses active in Japan's underground music scene.

Season 1 of "In:Depth" consists of four Chapters (1-4) that will be developed regionally, with episodes focusing on the "places" and "people" within each regional block to be released in due course. Each episode invites a "foreign artist" as a guest to convey the appeal and thoughts of each noteworthy "location" and "artist" in the local music scene through digital content, structured from both local and global perspectives. Through this project, we will provide new monetization methods for the underground music scene that is currently facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Even in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, ZAIKO will continue to innovate multifaceted services that prioritize artists and organizers, leading the new normal in the live entertainment industry centered around digital platforms.

【Season1 Chapter1 Kanto】
In the first chapter, we will introduce particularly popular, exciting, and interesting venues and artists in the Tokyo metropolitan area. We will also conduct interviews with artists from around the world, presenting content that delves into the music scene, its background, and history alongside music performances for both domestic and international audiences.

・Episode1 "Forestlimit" (Hatagaya, Tokyo, streaming March 6)
Opened as an atelier in 2010. Rebooted as an event space in 2019. Actively operating daily as a venue that supports the expressions of independent artists. The PA-extended sound system changes daily in response to the mood of the venue.

・Episode2 "heavysick Zero" (Nakano, Tokyo, streaming March 13)
Opened in 2002. Rooted in Nakano, Tokyo, continuously promoting various music and culture. In recent years, they have also been involved in community development, providing operational support for the "Nakano Gigiwai Festival" and working with skate shop "FAT BROS" on skateboarding park establishment efforts. SHeLTeR is a DJ bar located at the western edge of Tokyo, Hachioji, in operation for a quarter of a century, offering pure sound quality and delicious drinks. It aims to be a comfortable and innovative free space, unconstrained by existing images.
