ZAIKO: Could you tell us how this "Curry BIG" was decided?

Kamimura (Aoiro 1-go): We have been doing new materials two-man live shows every month. So, since around June, the award races were about to start, and we thought, let's do a final submission in May, saying, "Let's do it." Until now, we had been doing three new materials each time, but I thought it would be better if we could create newer material, so this time we decided on five each.
Also, we thought we should do it in a rather big place. I was fine with anyone being the partner, but since Salbase seemed not to have a strong material this year yet, I invited them saying, "Let's go to the finals with the two pieces we made here together!"

Orida (Salbase): I have been saying this for a while, but I really want to do a two-man show with Kamimura-san—Aoiro 1-go-san. However, Aoiro 1-go-san is not the type to actively organize live shows or take initiative; they have only done a solo act about once... So I thought I still didn't have enough skill to invite them myself.
This year, we had a two-man live show with 'Hamano and Henmi,' who are younger comedians than us...

Kamimura: I feel threatened.

Orida: Not at all, we still have a long way to go! And the next month, we did a two-man live with the even younger 'Gunjou Danchi,' and we were wondering, "When are they coming?" and we kept waiting. Tomoyappu was really dissatisfied about this...

Tomoyappu (Salbase): I mean, when are they coming? I've said this at a drinking party before, but with this much... We are in our 11th and 10th years, but it feels like they must absolutely know we have been alongside them. We have been working hard together with "Aoiro 1-go-san!" But when the lid came off, it was "We are doing a two-man show!" and then it was 'Hamano and Henmi'!? I don't even know where that came from...

Enomoto (Aoiro 1-go): No, I understand, I understand (laughs). Ohta (Pro)'s training school! Not from outside!

Tomoyappu: What is that in Katakana, 'Hamano and Henmi'... Those guys are funny, and I get that there is demand for them. Then, when they said they were doing a two-man live again, I thought, "All right!" only to find it was 'Gunjou Danchi'!! They want money too badly!!!

Tomoyappu: I told Kamimura-san at the drinking party. "We may fail commercially, but let’s do this together in spirit! Isn’t it about us first!" Then Kamimura-san laughed... saying, "No, no, no, no~" While I was fussing about, it felt like he was like, "Well, well."
He said, "You’re saying too much (laughs)" and when I thought I was kicked aside and sulking... this two-man show was scheduled for 5/17!!!!! This charming guy!!!!!!!
