The multilingual white-label electronic ticket sales platform "ZAIKO" announced a business partnership in April 2020 with Tencent Music, which operates the music distribution service "QQ Music" with over 800 million users in China. Furthermore, it has also started handling "WeChat Pay" and "Alipay".

■ Business Partnership in Live Streaming with "QQ Music"
ZAIKO, which has been generating significant buzz with its "electronic ticket-based live streaming" service launched in March this year, announced a business partnership in live events with "QQ Music", one of the largest freemium music distribution platforms in China, exceeding 800 million registered users.
This collaboration between "ZAIKO" and "QQ Music" enables Japanese artists to conduct paid live streams to audiences in China through "QQ Music", solving the technical issues that have existed in live streaming between Japan and China and breaking down network barriers.
Additionally, it offers not only music provision and live streaming support but also promotional support on the QQ Music platform, allowing for more flexible promotional activities targeted at Chinese users.
Regarding this business partnership, a QQ Music representative stated,
"The planners at QQ Music hope that through this partnership, we can deliver more diverse Japanese content to Chinese fans"
and expressed a strong desire for future domestic artists' expansion using the technology shared between the two companies.
■ What is "QQ Music"?
"QQ Music" is a freemium music distribution service owned by Tencent Music, a joint venture of Tencent and Spotify.
It boasts over 800 million registered users and has exclusive licensing agreements with over 40 record companies domestically and internationally, and has entered into partnership contracts regarding music copyrights with over 200 companies, providing over 20 million tracks of legitimate content, making it one of the largest music distribution platforms in China.
■ Overview and Background of Initiatives with "WeChat Pay" and "Alipay"
"ZAIKO" is pursuing collaborations with companies offering electronic payment services or online payment services in Asia as part of its service aimed at global expansion, including the recent business partnership with QQ Music, and inbound measures targeting the increasing number of foreign visitors to Japan, and has decided to implement the payment service "WeChat Pay" (微信支付) operated by Tencent Holdings (騰訊控股有限公司), which has 1.1 billion monthly active users.
Furthermore, it has also decided to introduce "Alipay", provided by Ant Financial Group, a subsidiary of the Alibaba Group that accounts for approximately 52% of online payment services in China.
