This time, featuring a lot of content, including the background leading up to the two-man live performance, the preparedness to face each other, and messages filled with love for the fans! Enjoy the thick dialogue with extra toppings until the very end!

Part 1 - What are the past and connections that will be revealed in the first dialogue about ex-girlfriends, shared houses, and udon?

Part 2 - A surprise message from K-PRO representative Koji from both groups' "mother of Tokyo"! With warm words and sharp questions, the dialogue heats up!

――

ZAIKO: Please tell us how the "Curry BIG" event was decided.

Kamizumi (Aoiro Ichigo): We’ve been doing a new material two-man live every month. And since the award season starts around June, we thought, let’s wrap things up in May. Usually, we would have three new pieces, but this time we thought it would be good to have five each.
Also, we decided to try doing it at a bigger venue. I was thinking anyone would be fine, but it seemed like Salbase hadn’t yet created a winning piece this year, so we invited them to say, "Let’s go to the finals with the two pieces we make together here!"

Orida (Sarubase): I've said it quite a few times, but I’ve always wanted to do a two-man live with Kamizumi — Aoiro 1-go, as if it were a teacher-student relationship. However, Aoiro 1-go isn’t the type to actively host live shows or make moves; they’ve only done a solo once or so... Because of that (not being the type to host live shows), I felt that "I don't have enough skill to invite myself yet."
However, this year, I did a two-man live with "Hamano and Henmi," who are younger comedians than us...

Kamizumi: I feel threatened.

Orida: Not at all, I’m still not there yet! The next month, I did a two-man live again with "Gunjo Danchi," and I was always waiting and wondering, "When are they coming?" Me and Tomoyappu were very dissatisfied with that...

Tomoyappu (Sarubase): I had said it once over drinks, but we’ve been together for 11 years and 10 years now, so they must know we’ve been in it together... We went through it together shouting, "Aoiro 1-go-san!" But then when the lid came off, they said, "We’re doing two-man shows!" And it was "Hamano and Henmi!?" I don't even know where that came from...

Enomoto (Aoiro Ichigo): No, I get it (laughs). It’s not coming from outside of Ota Pro!

Tomoyappu: What’s with "Hamano and Henmi" in Katakana... Those guys are interesting, and I understand that there’s demand. Then the next two-man live was announced, and I thought, "Alright!" and it was "Gunjo Danchi!!" You're aiming way too much for money!!!

All: (laughs)

Tomoyappu: I told Kamizumi at a drinking party. "We might fail commercially, but let’s do it together for the sake of feelings! Isn’t it us first!?" when I said that, Kamizumi smiled and said... "No, no, no, no..." Even when I was going on about it, he just replied, "Well, well."
"You’re saying too much (laughs)" and I felt like I was being kicked and sulked... and then on 5/17, this two-man live was booked!!!! This handsome guy!!!!!!!

 All: (laughs)

Aoiro Ichigo_Sarubase

Tomoyappu: I just had to make this jealousy bother him, I was on the verge of burning up! If I kept fizzling out, it would explode at the biggest capacity, with five pieces! I felt like I was told, "Using the strength we’ve built so far with K-PRO, we’re forming a killer tag to perform at a big venue, so please, Salbase!" and I was already hooked.

Orida: Why does Kamizumi want to be liked by Tomoyappu!?

Tomoyappu: I feel like I was being toyed with...

Kamizumi: That’s called a charm technique.

Tomoyappu: This is intense. Kamizumi’s charm technique is insane. After getting hit twice, we blow up.

Orida: That's right. When we performed with "Zest" in March, I thought it was over. Not even Ota Pro!

Tomoyappu: Right! From a different company! A senior in manzai!!! We’re "nothing" now!

Kamizumi: Was it an amateur group?

Orida: No, they were serious pros!! A seasoned senior.

Tomoyappu: Ah, it made me so happy! I want to show everything we’ve done up till now, I want it to be a day where we can expect even more in the future!

Orida: Did you summarize it?

Tomoyappu: Yeah, in the end. It’s about the background! It’s not a love call from Salbase or anything. Who started it?

Kamizumi: (to Kariya) Ask him, a little bit.

Kariya (Aoiro 1-go): I don’t know the background. I really don’t.

All: (laughs)

Orida: The trigger was Kamizumi!

Tomoyappu: But once "we’re doing it" was decided, was Orida already in (the LINE group)?

Orida: I was just told! Just like everyone else! It wasn’t discussed privately. (The LINE) Group was created without anyone's doing.

Tomoyappu: Oh! Was the timing the same then?

Orida: Yeah, so everyone was in it together! And there was an NG day, like, "This day is bad, just a heads up" that we put out around March, and a few popped up. Kariya had an NG day because he was returning to Fukuoka for a friend's wedding. We avoided that completely, but the two-man live got confirmed on Kariya's only NG day.

All: (laughs)

Tomoyappu: There were quite a few candidate days! Even if it was supposed to be decided on a day that wasn’t a wedding, we’d think, "That day is off, then A day is bad, B day," and it became "B day is bad, and C day." And C day turned out to be Kariya's friend's wedding! Even though he submitted an NG for it!

Orida: And Kariya said, "That day I have a friend’s wedding, but it’s fine" (laughs). I saw "Aoiro 1-go" at that time!

Tomoyappu: And then when they asked, "It was decided on the wedding day, is that okay?" Kariya replied, "Well, let’s see, it’s probably okay. Well, well… that’s good that it worked out."

Kariya: But now, I really want to go.

All: (laughs)

Aoiro Ichigo_Sarubase

Tomoyappu: Why didn’t you decline? You should've just said it!

Kariya: I was looking for a reason to decline, for the wedding. Since my work was booked, I thought, "Well, it’s unavoidable." But recently, when I talked to a classmate, everyone said they were going, so I really want to go now.

Orida: Back then, you didn’t want to go to the wedding (laughs).

Kariya: I wanted to go, but "I don’t have money" and various reasons. Now that this was decided, I’ll use this as an excuse.

Orida: It’s a cool reason.

Kariya: Well, I thought I’d manage, but now I actually want to go. Kodai (friend), sorry.

All: (laughs)

――

ZAIKO: This live event is planned to be streamed on ZAIKO; how do you feel about your stage being streamed?

Orida: All three of us are from Kagoshima, so we don’t have any means for friends or family to see (the live). They can’t just come. There are times when I get messages like, "I watched it on the stream," and during those times I think streaming is very helpful.

Tomoyappu: It’s great because it brings the physical distance closer, and although I say it multiple times, this guy (Orida) has a girlfriend in Kagoshima, so to let her see the funny material, there’s no choice but to rely on streaming.

Orida: Right! Streaming is available for a week or so, right? So when our live ends, and if I say, "It was funny," or "We came in first place," I can tell her later, "You should really buy this stream," you know? It’s like I can play it off after the fact (laughs). I can show only the things that went well; that’s a strength.

Tomoyappu: Because of ZAIKO, the loneliness of the two of them has been filled, and it helps improve the relationship. I really appreciate it.

Kamizumi: That’s true.

Aoiro Ichigo_Sarubase

ZAIKO: Lastly, please share your enthusiasm for this live and a message for the fans.

Orida: When it was decided that these two groups would hold a two-man show, I think the ratio is about 7:3 that the fans are mainly from Aoiro 1-go, right? For the audience coming to the live. 7…? No, maybe 8:2? Or possibly… about that much.
But that "8" should somewhat like Salbase as well! Since we’ve been doing this together! Maybe the fans supporting Ota Pro. While I can understand crowd recruitment at our usual live, I’d like our fans to like us just a bit more! To Aoiro 1-go fans!
I want the Aoiro 1-go fans to like us just a little bit more!!!

Tomoyappu: Are you trying to take the senior's slice of pie?

Orida: There are so many of Aoiro 1-go’s fans! If you like Aoiro 1-go just a little, you might think our skits are funny too! We’re in this together, our skits!

Kamizumi: They are the complete opposite (laughs).

Tomoyappu: I hope those who have supported us in the past would also come to like Salbase more, and for new people who learn about us, I want it to be done in a way that makes them think, "Oh! That’s nice!" like he (Orida) is saying. It’s not like I’m trying to take the seniors' fans...

Orida: It’s better to take them, right!

Tomoyappu: Maybe some people are getting a little bored, Aoiro 1-go.

Kamizumi: That’s not true. Our fans are very passionate. They may not be many, but they are passionate!

Orida: They are indeed strong...

Kamizumi: They are tenacious!!

Tomoyappu: As we get closer to success, fans connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect... but this trains them, and every time, strong fans come in with a "boom!".

Enomoto: We are grateful.

Kamizumi: Though they are few in number, that’s how it is.

Tomoyappu: There is an overflow of love.

Kamizumi: I want everyone to come to this new materials live as well, and I want you to see how the material we created can grow stronger and how it can stand up to television. "Become a witness of the legend!"

Orida: This is... Kamizumi's comments are definitely exceptionally good. Fans are bound to attach! I also want to say something!

Aoiro Ichigo_Sarubase

Kamizumi: Kariya Kariya!

Kariya: Honestly, I never thought that anyone would like us, but I do. If I were a fan of comedy, I wouldn’t be a fan of Aoiro 1-go, but still, we really appreciate those who like us. Please come a lot...

All: (laughs)

Orida: It’s long and lacks a punch, no sharpness in it!

Tomoyappu: You should’ve definitely closed it in one sentence! Matsuyama!!

Matsuyama: …?

Orida & Tomoyappu: To the fans.

Matsuyama: To the fans?

Orida: Why did you just find out now!

All: (laughs)

Matsuyama: As one of the comedy fans, I truly think you should follow these two groups right now. While doing comedy and being around many funny people, seeing those who succeed... You can feel that some people get to stay, right?
Out of those, although I don't want to say it too loudly, I think Aoiro 1-go and Salbase are the ones that will last.

Orida: So? Right now????

Matsuyama: Therefore, the value of this two-man performance is bigger than you think~...

All: (laughs)

Orida: Why are you the one slacking off!!

Matsuyama: (to the audience) I want you to see the value!

Tomoyappu: We also have few, but we want to repay the kindness to our fans...

Orida: Yes, I really want to do that. To put on a very funny live and to repay in that way.

Tomoyappu: Not just on this day, but from here on. Using this day as a reason, more.

Enomoto: This two-man live on 5/17 is said to start a special week for K-PRO. It seems like we are kicking it off. We want to do our best to elevate the following K-PRO lives as well, and we’d like even those who know our names to come and see. We’ll liven it up.

Kamizumi: Because of Salbase, people might think we lack talent during this two-man.

Orida: That’s not true!

Kamizumi: For example, if it were with something like "Gaku-zuke", fans who see comedy from a "slanted" perspective would still come.

Tomoyappu: I really want to see that!

Kamizumi: Surprisingly, we can just about manage. Just about!

Orida: Well, it’s a matter of who can do both.

Kamizumi: Anyway, they would think, "I’m done with sports manga" is what Salbase is saying. Something that seems like, "I’m done with a manga like 'SLAM DUNK', that’s it," but the mainstream is still funny, I think. Salbase will show you that.

Tomoyappu: "Zero sense, 100 fun, tons of toppings, hey wait! Curry BIG!"

All: (laughs)

Aoiro Ichigo_Sarubase

Tomoyappu: This is exactly it!

Kamizumi: But seriously, Salbase’s sense really shines in the live scene. Comedy fans love niche jokes. When they go on TV, people who shout loudly like Salbase really make it through. Working with them teaches us in a way.
In the end, it’s silly jokes and loud responses that get laughs... so we have that kind of feeling for working with Salbase. That’s why I want you to come see such things, even in regular places.

Orida: I’m just entirely too pleased... That doesn’t happen often, usually, we’re just scolded...

All: (laughs)
